Mariola Pytliková has been an Assistant Professor at CERGE-EI (under U.S. permanent charter) since January 2016. She has also been an Assistant Professor at CERGE, Charles University since January 2016, a Researcher at the Economics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences since October 2015, and a Senior Researcher at the VSB Technical University Ostrava since October 2013. Previously a Senior Researcher at the Danish Institute of Governmental Research (KORA), an Assistant Professor and Postdoctoral Researcher at Aarhus University, and a visiting lecturer at CERGE-EI. She received her PhD in Economics from ASB, Aarhus University in 2006. In the past, she held visiting stays at Princeton University, University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. She has been a research fellow at the Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM) at University College London, the Institute for Study of Labour (IZA) in Bonn, the Center for Corporate Performance (CCP) in Copenhagen and the Central European Labour Studies Institute (CELSI) in Bratislava. She received Kateřina Šmídková’s Award for the best female economist in 2015 and the 2005 Young Economist Award from the Czech Economic Society.
