Numismatický sborník prezentuje výsledky numismatického bádání v českých zemích i v širší střední Evropě. Jeho hlavním úkolem je průběžné zveřejňování nových hromadných i jednotlivých mincovních nálezů a revize nálezů starších, prostor však dostávají rovněž příspěvky zaměřené na souvislosti, v nichž mince vystupují jako důležitý historický pramen.

Carl Stumpf (1848-1936) was a German philosopher and psychologist and a visionary and important academic. During his lifetime, he ranked among the most prominent scientists of his time. Stumpf's intention, as evident in his book, Tone Psychology, was to investigate the phenomenon of tone sensation in order to understand the general psychic functions and processes underlying the perception of sound and music. It could be argued that modern music psychology has lost or perhaps ignored the epistemological basis that Carl Stumpf developed in his Tone Psychology. To gain a confident psychological basis, the relevance of Stumpf's deliberations on music psychology cannot be overestimated. Analyses of the essence of tones, complex tones and sounds are fundamental topics for general psychology and epistemology. By the end of this two-volume work, Stumpf had established an epistemology of hearing.

The subject of Volume I is the sensation of successive single tones. Stumpf demonstrates that analysis leads to the realisation of a plurality (is there only one tone or are there several tones?), which is then followed by a comparison: an increase may be observed (one tone is higher than the other) or a similarity may be realised (both tones have the same pitch or the same loudness). With almost mathematical stringency, Stumpf developed a topology of tones. Volume II deals with the sensation of two simultaneous tones (musical intervals). The books are stimulating, rewarding and provocative and will appeal to music psychologists, music theorists, general psychologists, philosophers, epistemologists and neuroscientists.

Kniha reprezentuje soubor autorových studií, v nichž se v posledních dvou desetiletích z mnoha úhlů a perspektiv věnoval problematice především české historiografie. Vedle metodologických studií, jež se zaobírají tragickým koncem české poznámky, interpretováním morových epidemiemi či husitské revoluce se v knize nacházejí texty zkoumající pojetí národních dějin Jana Slavíka, historickou paměť ve středověku i moderní paměť ve vztahu k holokaustu a totalitním společnostem. Samostatnou kapitolu knihy tvoří zamyšlení o stavu českého dějepisectví a jeho perspektivách či o nedozírných škodách, jež by pro českou společnost znamenala rezignace na uvědomování si a reflexi vlastní minulosti. Poslední část knihy zahrnují biografické črty významných historiků, kteří zásadním způsobem ovlivnili moderní historické myšlení (Fernand Braudel, Georges Duby, Bronisław Geremek, František Graus).

This book reflects on theoretical developments in the political theory of care and new applications of care ethics in different contexts. The chapters provide original and fresh perspectives on the seminal notions and topics of a politically formulated ethics of care. It covers concepts such as democratic citizenship, social and political participation, moral and political deliberation, solidarity and situated attentive knowledge. It engages with current debates on marketizing and privatizing care, and deals with issues of state care provision and democratic caring institutions. It speaks to the current political and societal challenges, including the crisis of Western democracy related to the rise of populism and identity politics worldwide. The book brings together perspectives of care theorists from three different continents and ten different countries and gives voice to their unique local insights from various socio-political and cultural contexts.
