New Economic Talent Wanted
6 February, 2019
For the fifth time, CERGE-EI is looking for New Economic Talent: a young student willing to embark on the path to a successful career in economics research. The competition is open to current bachelor's and master's students (full-time or part-time) or bachelor's and master's graduates (up to one year after graduation), in any field, who are interested in contemporary economic issues.
“We are delighted to see that NET keeps attracting many bright minds from all over the world. The finalists, many still undergraduates, get feedback from the best CERGE-EI faculty members, who normally teach PhD students. This is a remarkable chance for all participants to experience the environment of a premier research institution and to get inspired in their passion for economics.”
Taking part in the NET competition provides students with an exceptional chance to network with other students and researchers. In addition to that, the winner receives $1,000 USD and becomes a part of the CERGE-EI extended community, receiving invitations to relevant research and social events. This year, all finalists will also have a unique chance to meet all the past years' finalists during the NET 5 Years Gathering.
Students from all fields (not just economics) are warmly encouraged to submit their paper in English by March 31, 2019.
Detailed information and participants′ testimonials can be found here.
