CERGE-EI Commemorated the Victims of The Communist Regime

A black flag to mark the Memorial Day of the Victims of the Communist Regime was hanging on the walls of Schebek Palace this Friday, and Saturday. CERGE-EI was joining the symbolism that took place all around the Czech Republic.

Štěpán Jurajda to Share His Thoughts on the "Post-COVID Economy" in an Online Discussion

Professor Štěpán Jurajda will speak on the "Economic crisis on the horizon. And what's next?", in a webinar organized by the discussion platform of Charles University's "Česko! A jak dál?". The event takes place on Thursday, 25 June, and will be streamed via Zoom and Facebook.

Second-Year Research Fellowships Recipients Announced

Three second-year students have been awarded Research Fellowships sponsored by the RSJ Foundation. The evaluation committee selected Marta Cota, Artem Razumovskii and Sona Badalyan as this year's winners.

Georgiana Puscas is the New Economic Talent 2020

Georgiana Puscas (University of Warwick) has become the winner of the sixth edition of the New Economic Talent competition. The other places were taken by Viktor Veterinarov (Lomonosov Moscow State University), Raisa Khadija Muhtar (University of St Andrews) and Komila Zakirova (Westminster International University in Tashkent).

IDEA anti COVID-19 recommends investments in tracing and testing capacity

The CERGE-EI researchers involved in the "IDEA anti COVID-19" group have introduced a set of recommendations to be taken in order to reduce the risk of an uncontrolled spread of coronavirus for the upcoming weeks and months. The recommendations for the Czech authorities are based on the facts specific for the Czech Republic and on the experience from the countries that are successful in the prevention of further major outbreaks of the infection.
