Studied Archaeology at the Department of Archaeology at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, where she went on to study a doctorate. From 2001 to 2004 she worked as an archaeologist in the Museum of the Těšín Region in Český Těšín, and since 2005 she has worked for the Institute of Archaeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Brno. Since 2010 she has also lectured at the Silesian University in Opava.
