Vacancy: laboratory manager/assistant for clean chemistry lab (Praha 6 – Lysolaje)

Contract: 0.8–1.0
Contract duration: one year with the possibility of concluding a contract for an indefinite duration

We are looking for a laboratory manager/assistant for our clean chemistry lab based at the Institute of Geology of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague (Czech Republic). The job entails primarily preparation of geological and environmental samples for mass spectrometry analyses (TIMS/MC-ICP-MS/SF-ICP-MS) including sample decomposition and separation of selected elements (e.g., Sr, Nd, Pb, and Os) using ion chromatography.

Desired skills and experience: Master of Science (or equivalent) or PhD. in chemistry or Earth sciences, self-reliance, care and responsibility, active approach, at least passive knowledge of English language. Experience from chemical lab is an advantage. We will provide training in procedures routinely provided by the clean chemistry lab.

Salary: The basic salary is between €9120 and €14,640 per annum depending on the qualification and education plus extra remuneration from pending scientific projects and contracts.
