Department of the Ionosphere and Aeronomy performs investigation of the Ionosphere, middle and upper atmosphere. It mainly focuses on:
- Physics of the Ionosphere
- Global changes (trends) in the upper atmosphere and ionosphere
- Ozone and stratospheric dynamics
- Infrasound propagation in the atmosphere and its application to atmospheric study
- Atmospheric electricity and global electric circuit
The department operates two measuring sites:
