'Economic Decathlon' Part of the Program of The Week of Science Festival

The executive director of the IDEA think-tank Daniel Münich will speak about the contribution of the economists in the fight against the covid-19 epidemic at The Week of Science and Technology Festival. His online talk entitled 'Economic Decathlon', takes place on Wednesday, November 4 at 10:00.

Prof. Dr. Zdeněk Pertold passed away

With profound regret, CERGE-EI announces that Zdeněk Pertold, Professor Emeritus at the Institute of Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Mineral Resources, Faculty of Science, Charles University, passed away on October 26, 2020, aged nearly 87 years.

Charles University has been listed among the world's best research-oriented universities according to the Best Global Universities ranking. In comparison with 1800 other universities worldwide, Charles University has held on to its 210th position from last year. Economics maintained its good position in the subject ranking.

CERGE-EI Researchers Succeded In TA ČR Grant Competition

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic awarded support to Klára Kalíšková (main researcher) for a project proposal titled "Mapping the Effects of the Economic Crisis and Optimizing the Systems of Taxes, Benefits, Executions and Insolvencies to Mitigate its Adverse Effects", and René Levínský (co-researcher) for a project proposal titled "City for People, not for Virus".
