The deadline for submitting applications for our study programs has been postponed until 30 April. This change also applies for the New Economic Talent competition.

CERGE-EI students and researchers are joining the "IDEA ANTI-COVID-19" project that was launched today. The project aims to provide expert ideas and recommendations to mitigate the negative economic effects caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Interest rate cuts during the coronavirus epidemic will not have much effect, says Marek Kapička, economist and faculty member from CERGE-EI. Targeted fiscal assistance to sectors affected by sales and service constraints would be a better solution to the current situation.

Just two weeks remain to complete the applications for any of our three study programs. Tuesday 31 March is the application deadline for the MA in Economic Research, MA in Applied Economics and PhD in Economics. Our study officers are ready to help.
