Service to the Community

In addition to the scientific activity WIAS is providing different services to the scientific community:

In that sense the institute is hosting

• the Secretariat of the International Mathematical Union (IMU) as well as
• the office of the German Mathematical Society (DMV).

WIAS is member of the European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry (ECMI), with Dietmar Hömberg as the elected president until 2018.

Within the Leibniz Association, the institute coordinates the network "Mathematical Modeling and Simulation".
