The Master in Applied Economics program holds a webinar on Wednesday, 18 November, at 5 pm. Students interested in the practical application of data science and business-oriented studies are cordially invited to take part and learn more about the program itself as well as about the application process.

We Are Deeply Saddened by the Death of Our Student

It is with deep regret and profound sadness that we announce the passing away of our student Hayk Vardanyan (1991 - 2020). Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

CERGE-EI Media Highlights for October

The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic remained the most frequent of the various topics commented on by our experts for Czech media. Our researchers explained the mathematical models of the spread of the disease and the urgent need to introduce restrictive anti-pandemic measures. Our colleagues from the IDEA think tank also focused on the debate regarding the government's plan to abolish the super-gross wage. As every year, we also commented on the announcement of the Nobel Prize in Economics.

People of CERGE-EI: Meet Our Alumni

What makes one enroll in the Master in Applied Economics program when he or she already has a prospective career in architecture and urbanism? Read an interview with Lukáš Makovský, our MAE graduate from 2018, now working in Real Estate Advisory at Deloitte Czech Republic and studying economic geography at London School of Economics (LSE).
