In September three quarters (75%) of Czech citizens over the age of 15 were interested in the situation regarding the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19 and almost three-fifths (57%) of Czech citizens were worried about their own health.

In September the Public Opinion Research Centre asked a set of questions related to wearing a face mask associated with the covid-19 viral disease pandemic. Most citizens (69 %) consider face masks to be an effective measure against covid-19 about a quarter (26%) consider them ineffective.

In the research, the Public Opinion Research Center focused on the coronavirus crisis and citizens' experiences with it.  We asked all respondent about the degree of agreement or disagrement with the adoption of certain health protection measures in case of another possible pandemic similar to the coronavirus.

Most respondents (86%) agreed that body temperature should be measured in public places such as hospitals or offices.

On the contrary, the least respondents (18%) agreed with the publication of names of infected people (79% disagree).

Special research was carried out within the Our Society project, CVVM is responsible for the questions and design of the survey, data were collected by Median. In May, more than four-fifths (85%) of Czech citizens over the age of 18 were interested in the situation regarding the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

In December 2019 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions related to health care system in its regular survey. Citizens were asked about their overall satisfaction with health care system in the Czech Republic as well as their views on the various problematic areas of healthcare, such as the financing of public health, management of drugs and functioning of insurance companies.

Questions focused mainly on satisfaction with health care in the Czech Republic, evaluation of the quality of the health care in the last year and the amount of information provided by the doctors. Respondents evaluated their own health condition and possibilities to decide the ways of their medical treatment.

With health care, 50% of citizens are satisfied, 18% are dissatisfied and 31% are neither satisfied nor dissatisfied.
