Employment Offer – History of Science

The Masaryk Institute and Archives of the Czech Academy of Sciences is currently seeking a senior researcher in the area of the History of Science in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries (full time)

 

Duties:

  • Original research in the above mentioned area and publication of the results in the Czech Republic and abroad,
  • Designing and implementing research projects
  • Organization of academic meetings.

 

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral level university degree in the area of history or a related discipline (Ph.D., CSc., or recognized equivalent),
  • Significant foreign experience,
  • An international academic and publication profile focused on the history of science in East-Central Europe between the years 1848 and 1938,
  • Active knowledge of two world languages (one of either English or German is required),
  • Knowledge of other Central European languages is an advantage,
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of an academic team.
