Rescheduled: Leading Expert on Auction Design Prof. Klemperer to Present at CERGE-EI
4 March, 2020
The lecture will be rescheduled. New date to be confirmed soon. Thank you for your understanding.
One of the world's foremost experts in auction theory and its applications Professor Paul Klemperer (University of Oxford) is giving a public lecture at CERGE-EI on Friday, March 20, 2020.
In his lecture "The Art of Simple Multiproduct Auction Design", Prof. Klemperer will give an overview of his recent research on auction design. He will also talk about practical applications, including his work with the Bank of England and other central banks, and will discuss some more general policy lessons.
During the financial crisis in 2007 and 2008, prof. Klemperer served as an advisor for the UK and US governments. He has developed several auction formats that are used by governments and central banks in countries around the world and which have played a role in fighting the financial crisis.
His research interests also include bank regulation, competition policy, and climate change.
Please register if you are willing to attend the event. You are cordially invited to join the coffee break after the lecture.
