How Do I Apply

Fill in an application form for the selected course. Pay attention when filling in your motivation as it is very important for the selection process.

What is the selection process?

In order to maintain a high standard, we have a limited number of places on each course. Applicants are selected after registration is closed based on their motivation. Fifty percent of the places on each course are reserved for CERGE-EI students and alumni. Priority is given to current university students. Graduates are accepted if we have free places available.

Registered students are notified whether they have been accepted within five working days of the registration closing date. In the event that a student is not accepted for the course due to a limited number of places, he/she is put on a waiting list and is notified if a free place arises.

Those that are accepted for the activities are obliged to confirm their interest in attending the activity within 5 days of receiving the acceptance notification. If they do not confirm their interest, their place is offered to someone on the waiting list.

Students that do not attend the activity they were accepted for and do not send any apology or explanation for their absence, will not be accepted for other activities in the current semester. This does not apply to longer courses if you miss only one or two classes. With the limited number of places we can offer we want to make sure that we enable those that are really interested in the activity to attend.

Do I earn a certificate upon completing an activity in EDH?

If you attend one of the longer courses, i.e. 3 lessons or more, and you have at least 75% attendance, you are eligible for an electronic certificate that verifies your completion of the activity. Please note that it is a certificate of completion, and does not mean that you have mastered the specific skills.

Do I have to pay anything for the activities?

All Economics Discovery Hub activities are free of charge.
