Bader Scholarship

Isabela and Alfred Bader Scholarship for Postdocs in the Art History

The Institute of Art History in cooperation with the Czech Association of Art Historians invite applications for the Isabela and Alfred Bader Scholarship. The scholarship is intended for the PhD students dealing with European art and architecture from the Middle Ages until the 20th century.

  • Tereza Johanidesová - Key Concepts, Terms and Interpretation Strategies of Czech Marxist Iconology
  • Michaela Hojdysz - Archduke Eugen of Austria-Teschen: Rebuilding and Conservation of the Bouzov Castle in the Context of Collecting and Historic Preservation in Central Europe in the Late 19th Century
  • Mariana Placáková - The Experience of Emancipation. Feminist Art in the Era of State Socialism

  • Lenka Kerdová (FF UK Prague), Prague Interwar Architecture from German Speaking Architects
  • Adéla Minaříková (FF UK Prague), Caspar Lehmann and the Origins of Engraved Glass in Central Europe
  • Lenka Vrlíková (FF MU Brno), Between Rome and Alexandria. Reflection of European art in Ethiopian painting during the reign of the Solomonic dynasty (1270–1468)
