Ing. Naděžda Witzanyová

Nadezda Witzanyova works in TC of the CAS as National Contact Point (NCP) for Horizon 2020 programme, research infrastructures priority, since February 2019. She is manager of projects RICH and RICH2 dealing with cooperation of European NCPs.

She studied the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, Faculty of Chemical Technology, then worked as researcher at the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the CAS. Later Mrs. Witzanyova worked for the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports e.g. as Head of Unit ERA, Head of unit RnD policy and Director of Department International Cooperation in RnD. Member of ESFRI (2007-2013), ESFRI EB (2009-2013), she initiated and coordinated drafting of Czech Roadmaps for large RIs. She was involved in ESS Scandinavia siting and ELI siting processes. After leaving Ministry she was Director for RnD strategy and development at the Center of Research Řež, l.l.c. (where she was e.g. delegate to EERA – energy research), Head of Unit Structural Funds at the Nuclear Physics Institute of the CAS, where she managed large projects from structural fund (e.g. ESS Scandinavia-CZ-OP, FAIR-CZ-OP). She is expert in Euratom/fusion programme committee and RIs programme committee.
