Acta Comeniana – International review

Acta Comeniana is an international scholarly journal for Comenius Studies and early modern intellectual history which was founded by Ján Kvačala under the title Archiv pro badání o životě a spisech J. A. Komenského in 1910. It is published once a year by the FILOSOFIA, publishing house of the Institute of Philosophy, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

Acta Comeniana is open to all contributions dealing with Comenius Studies and history of early modern philosophy, science and knowledge, education, literature, political and religious thought. A special if not exclusive focus is devoted to central European intellectual history. The journal does not prefer any specific methodology and welcomes both papers based on archival or library research and papers focusing more on the interpretative approach. The journal accepts papers in English, German and French and the editors are able to offer Czech contributors assistance with linguistic revisons or translations. All contributions except of reviews are being anonymously sent for peer-reviewing to two referees.

Acta Comeniana are indexed / abstracted by ERIH (European Reference Index for the Humanities) and SCOPUS (Elzevier) and CEJSH (Central European Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities).
