The image of cold spray deposited metallic materials microstructure acquired by EBSD analysis was selected for the cover page of the jubilee 200th volume of Materials and Design journal.
The article described the new phenomenon of extreme plastic deformation (intermixing) at the
coating-substrate interface, which can be triggered by using non-standard deposition parameters. In
future, such finding could be employed e.g. to increase the adhesion of the coatings, thereby
improving their reliability. The paper is published in Open Access mode and is therefore available
