My research is focused on cellular responses to laser irradiation. 
The motivation for the study is that lasers are utilized in a promising therapeutic approach, called photobiomodulation (PBM). Recently, the benefits of PBM for treatment of various diseases have been shown, such as wound healing, Parkinson´s disease treatment, tissue regeneration or to reduce pain and inflammation. However, the fact is that the molecular mechanism of photobiomodulation is not well understood and further research is needed. Thus, I study in great detail the molecular mechanism of triggered cellular responses by photobiomodulation.
