PhD programs
The Institute of Philosophy of the CAS has seven joint doctoral programmes accredited with partner universities:
1) Faculty of Arts, Charles University (Prague), doctoral study programme Filozofie / Philosophy (language of instruction: Czech or English). Jointly accredited doctoral study programmes allow PhD students to choose their supervisors among the researchers of the Institute of Philosophy of the CAS. Personal scientific profiles of researchers / PhD supervisors can be found via the sections People and Scientific Units.
On 25 August 2020, The Institute of Philosophy concluded a Cooperation Agreement on joint supervision of PhD students with the Faculty for Arts, History and Area Studies of the Leipzig University (Fakultät für Geschichte, Kunst und Regionalwissenschaften der Universität Leipzig), Faculty for Social Studies and Philosophy of the Leipzig University (Fakultät für Sozialwissenschaften und Philosophie der Universität Leipzig) and Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO). The Agreement allows that novice researchers recommended by the Institute of Philosophy pursue their doctoral studies at Leipzig University, in accordance with the rules of the respective Faculty.
