My research interests are in the areas of advanced optical techniques, innovative materials, interfacial biomolecular interactions and biomedical systems. Particular topics include: advanced physical methods in both modern industry and life sciences; novel applications of spectroscopic ellipsometry; optical measurements of phase transformations in solids, polymers and biomaterials; low temperature plasma for biomedical applications; magnetically controlled processes in living objects; and tensile strain effects in ultra-thin perovskite films. I am presently engaged in developing a strong cooperation with the industry within the framework of the national center of competence MATCA, which focuses on areas of plasma, lasers and additive technology.
