All services are provided either remotely (online, by e-mail/phone/post), through the pickup window or using the self service loan device.

 

Pickup window

Users without membership or with membership for remote access are allowed to make off site loans as well as the users with off-site membership. Please note that if you are not a Czech citizen, you need to provide a valid residence permit to arrange the off site membership, otherwise the loans cannot be made.

Conditions:

  1. Documents need to be ordered in advance. Registered users with off-site membership can make the order via user account, unregistered users or users with the membership for remote access can send the order to servis@knav.cz. Please check if the documents are available in our library and the loan type is „absent“ or „possible to be taken home“. When ordering via e-mail, please state the signature and name of the document. 
  2. At the time of the library visit, the documents must be ready for collection – you will receive an e-mail notification. If you don´t have valid off site membership, we will extend it / make a new one / change your membership for remote access to off-site membership.

All your ordered documents will be found under the selfcheck. Documents are prepared under the code created of the first three letters of your surname and forename (at shorter names also the code is shorter). Mr. Radovan Happy will be looking for his books under the code HAPRAD.

For borrowing itself, choose the option „Check Out“ on selfcheck and follow the instructions on the device. Place the documents which you don’t want to borrow into the storage space right on the desk.

Library visit

You are required to wear a respirator and use the disinfection (available at the entrance).

There can be present only 1 person at a time in the library. Please maintain a social distance of 2 meters (6 feet) while waiting for the entry.

Returning documents

Loaned documents can be returned into the book return box Vodičkova (accessible nonstop) or into the book return box located behind the entrance door to the building (accessible Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.). Please don´t return documents at the library desk, unless you need to re-loan your documents or you have to pay a fee for late return.
