The Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, v. v. i. (FZU) is a public research institution focusing on basic and applied research in physics. For a progressive team, which is part of the MATCA National Competence Centre, we are looking for a new colleague (m/f) for the following position:

Job Title: IT Application specialist

Job Description:

  • Work on the development of in-house applications for 3D printing and additive manufacturing
  • Analyse partners’ needs and subsequently modify applications accordingly
  • Cooperating on consortium projects, coordinating service activities, and cooperating with external suppliers
  • Willingness to learn (programming for 3D devices, additive manufacturing technology)

Requirements:

  • Degree in electrical engineering
  • Perfect knowledge of SQL and T-SQL (MSSQL server)
  • Verifiable knowledge in electronics - PLC (basic or Siemens programming is an asset)
  • Knowledge of .NET, AZURE IOT HUB, AZURE EVENT HUB, AZURE STREAM ANALYTICS, AZURE FUNCTIONS, IOTEDGE is an asset
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of English at communicative level
  • Good communication and coordination skills, active approach to work and willingness to learn
