STRENCH: Local Working Table 1

All interested parties are invited to participate on the first Local Working Table meeting of the STRENCH project (Interreg Central Europe), which will be held on Friday, 26th February 2021 at 15:00 via the Zoom app here: https://cesnet.zoom.us/j/96400374538?pwd=a3dmbWtjRmdEcXRxMC91MzV5NWhpdz09. The aim of the meeting is to inform about the newest deveopment in the project, its outputs so far and to provoke a discussion with the stakeholders in the field of protection of natural heritage against natural hazards. The focus will be on the Troja hamlet as one of the project pilot sites.

V neděli 24. ledna 2021 vynesla raketa Falcon 9 společnosti SpaceX na oběžnou dráhu satelit s palivovou nádrží na jejímž vývoji se spolupodílel i Ústav teoretické a aplikované mechaniky AV ČR. Dodavatelem a výrobcem této nádrže je společnost HPC Research.

Česká společnost pro mechaniku udělila Cenu prof. Z.P. Bažanta pro inženýrskou mechaniku za rok 2020 bývalému řediteli ÚTAM AV ČR a nyní zaměstnanci, prof. Ing. Miroši Pirnerovi, DrSc. V odůvodnění komise mimo jiné uvedla, že oceněný je světově uznávaným odborníkem s mimořádně vysokým morálním kreditem a zakladatelem české školy aeroelasticity inženýrských staveb. V posledních několika letech je prof. Pirner již druhým oceněným touto cenou z řad zaměstnanců ÚTAM. V roce 2017 tuto cenu získal Ing. Jiří Náprstek, DrSc.

moreČlánek R. Ševčíka a kol. v Elettra synchrotron Highlights

In the prestigious yearbook Elettra synchrotron Highlights for the years 2019-2020, an article by the author team from the Materials Research Department composed of Radek Ševčík and Dita Machová was included among the best in the past two years. The article fosuses on changing the microstructure of limestone after application of nanocalcium in combination with calcium carbonate polymorphs. Other co-authors were researchers from Elettra-Sincrotrone Trieste (Italy) and Jülich Center for Neutron Science JCNS at MLZ (Germany).

Dne 11. 12. 2020 se uskutečnil online přenos z FA ČVUT v Praze III. mezinárodního workshopu k projektu MK ČR NAKI II – DG16P02R025 – „Původ a atributy památkových hodnot historických měst České republiky“. Workshop se konal za účasti zástupců technických univerzit z Prahy, Bratislavy a Krems a Akademie věd ČR.
