Experimentally are studied in a wide range of temperatures (0.3 – 720 K) and magnetic fields (0 – 8 T) magnetotransport properties of semiconductor structures based on carbon, nitrides and other AIIIBV compounds. Emphasis is put on the separation of surface and bulk properties, influence of contacts, dimension, topology and environment. In theory, we then solve general questions concerning quantum charge transport in semiconductors, e.g. topological phase transformations, various Hall effects, the connection between transport and fluctuation-dissipation theorem and application of quantum transport to biological neural networks.
