Cognitive deficit - symptom of many of neuropsychiatric disorders

Original sample of 12 publications including also report from collection of virtual-reality data from schizophrenia patients and healthy volunteers published in the special issue of Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience.

Cognitive deficit (i.e., disturbance of mental function) can be observed in many neuropsychiatric disorders, in some cases, cognitive deficit is primary and a very stable symptom. Typical diseases affecting the function are Alzheimer´s disease, schizophrenia etc.

Original sample of 12 publications from our department was published in special issue of Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience, focused on cognitive impairments in neuropsychiatric disorders. The sample involved extremely interesting paper such as report from collection of virtual-reality data from schizophrenia patients and healthy volunteers. requested the “solve the navigation maze“ with a joystick. Moreover, there are many others intriguing and controversial studies, including transgenic animals.
