Liyou Borga, our PhD in Economics graduate from 2018 works as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Luxembourg. What is his research focus in this position and what is he currently up to? Read the latest interview published on the CERGE-EI blog.
"CERGE-EI ticked all the boxes. They offer scholarships, they follow a US-style taught program, the faculty are graduates of top universities, it places its students in top positions, and it is in beautiful Prague," said Liyou about what had convinced him to apply to CERGE-EI.
Liyou also shared what research projects he is currently working on. "In terms of my own research, I very much picked up where I left off at CERGE-EI. Most recently, in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, my department coordinated a comprehensive survey with participants from six European countries assessing the well-being of the population during this lockdown," Liyou explained.
