From 7th June 2021, the library starts to operate in following opening hours:
Mon-Wed: 10:00-15:00
Thu-Sun: closed

You may preorder books via the library catalog and pick them up as in the previous months, or you may just come during the opening hours and borrow what you need.

Only the area in front of the circulation desk will be accessible. Other library premises remain closed. Please note that NO on-site study is currently possible.

Loans can be returned to the library drop box in front of the library entrance (accessible 24/7 for CERGE-EI members, for others daily between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.). Returned items will be written off your account no later than the next opening day.

New Drop Box for Your Returns

A new library drop box for your book and other returns has been installed in front of the library entrance. The drop box is accessible 24/7 for CERGE-EI members, for others daily between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.

As long as the library premises remain closed, dropped off items may stay on your library account for several more days before they are checked in. No fines will be incurred during this period.

Please use our drop box to return only items that you borrowed from the Jan Kmenta CERGE-EI Library.
