Our clients include a lot of successful Czech and international companies and institutions. Our mutual cooperation has enabled a number of organizations to extend their product portfolios and obtain new innovative solutions and technologies. This is among others why some of the clients keep coming back to the FZU for continued cooperation. We are thankful to all institutions and companies for their trust and we look forward to any future successful collaboration.
The long-term cooperation of researchers from the FZU with Crytur, s.r.o. has involved multiple fields. The collaboration with ELI Beamlines included the development of a method for cultivating high optical quality and large diameter single crystals suitable for manufacturing large and optically homogeneous laser slabs. Crytur, s.r.o. further cooperates with the FZU on the development of scintillation materials for X-ray detection.
Various treatment of material surfaces was carried out at HiLASE to test for modified tribological properties (e.g. wear, friction) in collaboration with Daido Metal Co., Ltd.
HiLASE Centre was participating by pump cavity analysis and modeling during BTL’s own internal laser design project.
The Czech branch of Edwards has used the FZU (ELI Beamlines) testing infrastructure to test one of their pumps in a vacuum chamber.
The FZU (ELI Beamlines) has measured the planarity of an interferometer mirror plate for Valeo, k.s. This cooperation has contributed to the improvement of the development of optical components in automotive industry.
In cooperation with Prague Water Supply and Sewerage Company (Pražské vodovody a kanalizace, a.s.), the FZU has worked on projects dealing with the development, the testing and the usability of new types of diamond-coated electrodes for waste-water treatment and new types of diamond-coated sensors for electrochemical detection of heavy metals in water.
The FZU (ELI Beamlines) has provided their laser stations to Laserschutz GmbH for testing the damage threshold of safety glasses used as personal protective equipment when operating lasers.
A compact spectrometer for the UV range (XUV) was originally developed by the FZU (ELI Beamlines) for internal purposes and has been patented. The German company H+P Spectroscopy GbR uses the patent licence to offer the technology developed by ELI Beamlines to their customers.
