Almost a quarter (23 %) of respondents took a negative attitude towards vaccination against COVID-19. More than a third (35 %) has already received at least the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination.

Czech Citizens about Health Care in the Czech Republic – June 2021

In June 2021 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to health care. Questions focused mainly on satisfaction with health care in the Czech Republic, evaluation of the quality of the health care in the last year and the amount of information provided by the doctors. Respondents evaluated their own health condition and possibilities to decide the ways of their medical treatment. The last comparable research on this topic was conducted in December 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, which should be kept in mind when comparing results over time.

The New Coronavirus - Interest, Expectation and Attitudes towards Measures - June 2021

In its research, the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on the coronavirus crisis and citizens' experiences with it. In June, more than three-quarters (77%) of Czech citizens over the age of 15 were interested in the situation regarding the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

In connection with the spread of the new type of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, approximately three-quarters of Czech citizens concerned about the health of their loved ones (74%) and deteriorating economic situation in the Czech Republic (73%).

In connection with the spread of the new type of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, approximately four-fifths of Czech citizens over the age of 18 are concerned about the health of their loved ones (81%), health care restrictions outside COVID-19 (80%), almost three-fifths of insufficient hospital capacity ( 57%), about half of their health (52%) and slightly more than a fifth of the collapse of supply (21%).

The New Coronavirus - concerns, media, information and narratives - Our Society - February 2021

In connection with the spread of a new type of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, more than four-fifths of Czech citizens over the age of 18 fear limited health care restrictions for patients with diseases other than COVID-19 (85%), deteriorating economic situation in the Czech Republic (83%) and the health of their loved ones (81%). Compared to the last survey in December 2020, citizens' concerns about the insufficient capacity of hospitals, which were feared by approximately two-thirds (67%) of the population in February, have risen significantly, by twenty percentage points.

In its special research, the Public Opinion Research Center focused on concerns about the spread of coronavirus, how Czech citizens orientate themselves in information about a new type of coronavirus, and also how often they follow information about it in the media. In connection with the spread of a new type of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, four-fifths (80%) of Czech citizens fear the deterioration of the economic situation in the Czech Republic, a comparable proportion (76%) are concerned about the health of their loved ones, on the contrary people are least worried about supply collapses (29%) and then about insufficient hospital capacity (47%).
