Markéta Bocková won the Werner von Siemens Award
Markéta Bocková from the Optical Biosensors team won the prestigious Werner von Siemens Award for her dissertation and received the Award for Outstanding Quality of Women's Scientific Work.

Markéta Bocková from the Optical Biosensors research team won the prestigious Werner von Siemens Award for her dissertation "Multifunctional Biomolecular Assemblies for Parallelized Analysis of Biomolecular Interactions". Besides the first place in the Best Dissertation category, Markéta Bocková received the Award for Outstanding Quality of Women's Scientific Work.

For 23 years, Siemens has been recognizing talented students, inspirational educators and enthusiastic scientists with a prestigious award that brings industry and science closer together. Due to its scope, amount of financial rewards and tradition, this competition is one of the most significant and independent initiatives of its kind in the Czech Republic. The awarded works are selected by independent commissions composed of rectors and vice-rectors of leading Czech universities, the chair of the Academy of Sciences and the directors of the institutes of the Academy of Sciences.
