Ph.D. Programme
The Institute, in cooperation with the Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University, is running a doctoral study programme Transitional Jurisprudence. The program specifically focuses on the interdisciplinary study of law in a national, transnational and international context and thus generates new excellent research-oriented doctoral study programs: 1) Legal Theory and Public Affairs; 2) Intellectual Property Law; 3) Comparative Company - Foundation and Trust Law; 4) Comparative Constitutional Law. The aim of the joint doctoral study is to educate a new generation of researchers able to participate in research at European level, as well as to educate top experts for the needs of practice (especially focusing on narrower specialization in selected areas of law with international scope).
Researchers of the Institute of State and Law of the Czech Academy of Sciences work not only as supervisors in doctoral study programs of faculties of law, but also participate in university teaching in bachelor's and master's studies. Some of them also hold university management positions.
