Department of Diamond and Associated Materials

The scientific focus of the department is based on the professional profile of four research groups and their mutual cooperation with the aim of studying the preparation and understanding of physico-chemical properties of prepared carbon materials, with the main focus on diamond, and phenomena at their interfaces. Significant attention is paid to the development of analytical techniques, especially on optical and scanning microscopy.

Our long-term goal is to interconnect a comprehensive view of the manifestations of matter, especially during plasma-chemical processes and interactions at interfaces, in the context of investigated phenomena and theoretical models.
