A two year postdoctoral position, with an option of extension by one year, is available in the research team of Martin Markl within the prestigious Praemium Academiae grant awarded to him by the president of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
Applications are invited from the candidates who have completed their PhD within the last 5 years (or will have completed it before the time of hiring), and who have strong background in operads and their applications, and/or higher structures. Some knowledge of geometry, homotopy theory, homological algebra and mathematical physics (string theory) is welcome.
The successful applicant will be based at the Institute of Mathematics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague, and perform research in the areas of the project. He/she is also expected to take part in activities of the Department of Algebra, Geometry and Mathematical Physics such as seminars and workshops organized by the group. No teaching is involved.

The Institute of Mathematics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IM CAS) is seeking a researcher for the project Praemium Academiae coordinated by professor Šárka Nečasová and funded by the Czech Academy of Sciences.
We invite applications from candidates who have completed their PhD degree in Mathematics within the last 5 years or will complete their PhD before December 2021. Applicants should have a good background in the theory of partial differential equations and mathematical analysis of fluid mechanics. Knowledge of the modern theory of partial differential equations, strong and weak solutions, and Sobolev spaces is necessary. Some experience with modeling fluid-structure interaction is welcome.
The successful applicant will be based at the Institute of Mathematics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague, and perform mathematical research in the areas of the project. He/she is also expected to take part in activities of the Department of Evolution Differential Equations such as seminars and workshops organized by the group. No teaching is involved.

Knowledge of modern methods for mathematical and computational modelling, as well as of numerical simulations is necessary. Experience with applications in biomedicine or industry is welcome.
