Personal Collection Management

Srdečně zveme na přednášku z cyklu Collegium historiae artium, kterou přednese Unmil Karadkar (Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz) na téma Personal Collection Management: How Digital Tools are Shaping Art History and Humanities Research.

Přednáška se uskuteční ve středu 27. října 2021 v 16.30 v zasedací místnosti (sál 117) Ústavu dějin umění AV ČR, Husova 4, Praha 1.

Digital tools such as cameras, tablets, notebook computers, email, and cloud storage, have rapidly changed how humanities scholars collect documents in archives, libraries, and museums as well as how they manage these documents after these visits during the publishing activities. In the Scholars Tracking Archival Resources (STAR) project, we are studying how these technological advancements have affected scholarly research workflows. Our goal is to develop mobile software that will help researchers in systematically collecting, tagging for management (adding scholarly as well as administrative metadata) as well as retrieving their documents and images to simplify these workflows. In this talk, I will report our findings from interviews and observations with 26 scholars, including 3 art historians and present a prototype of a software for such management based on the requirements identified by the researchers.

Celý program přednášek na druhou polovinu roku 2021 najdete v přiloženém souboru.
