Where should I send my CV?

You will always find this information in every job advertisement. In case of any doubt, you can contact us at kariera [at] fzu [dot] cz to apply directly; to send us your CV to be added to our database or to ask us for answers to your questions.

How long will it take you to get back to me?

We usually respond to all job seekers within two weeks from the receipt of their CV.

How do you assess a candidate’s suitability?

For every vacancy, there is a set of pre-defined requirements, which need to be met for the vacancy to be filled. The requirements are always listed in each job advertisement. A candidate's file is assessed as a whole, we consider his/her competence, education, work experience. In the next phase, we need to verify these basic prerequisites and learn more about the candidate’s motivation and expectations.

How does the selection procedure work?

The selection procedure has several stages. During the first phase, we consider documents provided by candidates, including their CV, references, a cover letter or a list of publications (for researchers). Subsequently, we schedule personal interviews with short-listed candidates. In most cases, we organize at least two meetings. In the case that a candidate is from another country or if there is another valid reason, we can communicate remotely via video conferencing.

What can I expect at a job interview and how much time will I need for it?

Depending on the position, a job interview typically takes about 45-60 minutes. We always make sure to schedule enough time for both sides - to inform the candidate about the position and to get all important information about the candidate. For us it is important that you feel comfortable during the interview; we realize that for some candidates it may be rather stressful, therefore we aim to create a meeting that is friendly and respectful.

What happens with the personal information I provide to you?

We only keep your personal information for the duration of the selection procedure, after which it is deleted/destroyed. If you want us to add your CV to our candidate database it is important that you send us your consent to our personal data protection policy.
