New Economic Talent

New Economic Talent was a competition run by CERGE-EI between 2014-2020. Participation was open to bachelor students or bachelor graduates (see the 2020 conditions) in any field of study who were interested in contemporary economic issues and wished to better understand the forces and processes behind them. The competition aimed to encourage students to further pursue economic research. The finalists presented their papers to an evaluation committee in order to receive feedback and discuss possible improvements to their papers. In the six years we ran the competition, we welcomed a total of 538 participants from several dozen countries.
