Jakub Steiner Will Join a Panel Discussion at [PANDEMIC] Open Data Expo
4 March, 2021
What role do open data play in the Czech healthcare system? What have we learned over the past year about the right to information and public health? Jakub Steiner will participate in a panel discussion at the [PANDEMIC] Open Data Expo fair, together with four other experts, where such questions will be answered.
The panel discussion entitled “Open Data, Science, and Public Health” will address the impact of available information on the quality of health care, the reasons for closing some health data and the opportunities to open them. The online discussion will take place on 8 March at 1:20 p.m. and will last about an hour. If you wish to learn more about the event and/or register, as the admissions are limited, visit the web page here.
Open Data Expo is the largest open data fair in the Czech Republic. The sixth edition of the fair, as part of the International Open Data Day, is traditionally connected with the conference on the effective use of open data for quality state management. This year's theme is “working with data in times of crisis”.
The event will be filmed in CAMP (Center for Architecture and Urban Planning) and will be broadcasted online. The main speakers of the event are Anne Moen from the Institute of Health and Society in Norway and Zdeněk Hřib, the mayor of Prague.
