CERGE-EI Represented at Conferences on Education, Industry 4.0 and COVID-19

CERGE-EI researchers have been invited to share their expert opinions at various public events recently. Štěpán Jurajda, Daniel Münich, and Václav Korbel were among the speakers of The Prague Education Festival. Štepán Jurajda had a presentation at the online forum organized by the Czech Confederation of Industry. Julie Chytilová and Jakub Steiner took part in a debate about the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Neuron Endowment Fund for the support of science organized a debate with Czech scientists from various fields to cover different aspects of the ongoing pandemic. Jakub Steiner explained how mathematical models are used to prevent the spread of the infection. Julie focused on the impact of the pandemic on the mental health of the population. Julie and Jakub are both laureates of the prestigious Neuron Prizes.
The Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic invited Štěpán Jurajda to present a CERGE-EI study on the effects of the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies in firms.
The Covid-19 pandemic has become a true challenge for the Czech education system. What were the lessons learned? What are the current problems, and what changes should be made? Those topics were covered during the all-day-long conference by The Prague Education Festival. Štěpán Jurajda, together with Václav Korbel and Daniel Münich were among the speakers.
