Některé druhy rodů čilimník (Cytisus) a kručinka (Genista) byly od sebe natolik odlišné, že to již dávno vedlo ke vzniku samostatných rodů - kručinkovec (Corothamnus), čilimníkovec (Lembotropis), kručinečka (Genistella) a janovec (Sarothamnus). Patří sem také rod Chamaecytisus, v ČR zastoupený několika druhy, pro nějž má čeština opět jméno čilimník. Some species of the genus Cytisus and genus Genista are so greatly differentiated that new genera have been classified - Corothamnus, Lembotropis, Genistella and Sarothamnus. The genus Chamaecytisus also belongs to this group, which is represented in the Czech Republic by several species and which has the same name in Czech (cytisus).
