Fellows at the MIA CAS
MIA CAS offers the possibility for foreign Bohemists to study in the library and archives, and to use necessary facilities within the bounds of scholarships provided by the Czech Academy of Sciences. Presently it is possible to apply for the Josef Dobrovský Fellowship.
The objective of the fellowship is to support “Bohemian studies” in both national and territorial perspective by means of financing short-term study stays for foreign researchers at the Institutes of the CAS. The fellowship is intended for young researchers (usually up to 35 years of age) who need to study historical, cultural, language, geographic or natural characteristics in the Czech Republic.
The applications for the Josef Dobrovský Fellowship are to be submitted to the hands of the director of the respective CAS institute, the applications are subsequently consulted in the Institutional Council and with its recommendation forwarded to the CAS. The deadlines for submitting the applications are January 31 and July 31 each year.
