Přestože je území České republiky relativně malé, můžeme zde najít mezi brouky (Coleoptera) několik skutečných endemitů. Jsou to nosatci Brachysomus bohemicus a Hypera libanotidis (pravděpodobně už vyhynulý druh), mandelinka Oreina bifrons, krasec Cylindromorphus bohemicus a střevlíček Parazuphium chevrolati rebli. Dále existuje několik druhů, které mají centrum rozšíření v České republice, ale zasahují okrajově i do okolních zemí, nebo které žijí v alpinském pásmu pohraničních hor a zasahují tudíž i k našim sousedům. To už ale nejsou pravé endemity České republiky.

In spite of the relatively small territory of the Czech Republic we can find several true endemic species of beetles (Coleoptera) here, e.g. two species of weevils (Brachysomus bohemicus and Hypera libanotidis, the latter most probably extinct), one leaf beetle (Oreina bifrons), one buprestid beetle (Cylindromorphus bohemicus) and one carabid beetle (Parazuphium chevrolati rebli). Apart from these there are several other species with a distribution centre in the Czech Republic, but overlapping marginally into neighbouring countries, or mountain species distributed at the top of the border mountains and also occurring naturally in the adjacent countries. But these are not the true endemic species of the Czech Republic.
