Significance of the collaboration with universities
The second most important mission of the Institute in the society is teaching and education of PhD students. All departments take care of PhD students and all departments exept for one have semester courses at Masaryk University or other universities. The institute collaborates with universities also in research. This collaboration is advantageous owing to the fact that the laboratory equipment and expertise are used in both organizations. The most important projects are Centers of Basic and Applied Research: the Institute in involved in 6 Centers.
