Researcher for analysis of various material surfaces


The successful candidate (m/f) will become a part of an internationally recognized Analytical Techniques Research Group. He/she will participate in the analysis of materials using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.


What you will do

  • Perform analysis of various material surfaces using the XPS method
  • Designing experiments and sample preparation
  • Evaluation of acquired data and their processing (Excel, Origin, etc)
  • Collaboration on the preparation of scientific publications
  • Other activities according to the current focus of research at FZU


What we do


Required qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree/Ph.D. student in physics, material science or chemistry, biology
  • Ability to interpret the results in terms of characterization of the surface of the studied samples
  • Ability to process data and prepare it for output/publication
  • Willingness to cooperate in a wide range of topics (according to the current focus of research at FZU)
  • Ability to work quickly with new software and devices is an advantage (KolXPD, CasaXPS, etc.)
  • Experimental dexterity
  • Communicativeness
  • Advanced English, written and spoken

Terms of employment
