Vyhlášení výběrového řízení na pozici ředitele ÚTAM AV ČR

The Council of the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Czech Academy of Sciences invites applications for the position of Director of the Institute.

Requirements:
  • higher education and scientific qualification in one of the main fields of research activities of the Institute at postgraduate level;
  • significant results of creative scientific activity in one of the main fields of the Institute's research activities;
  • experience in the organisation and management of scientific work;
  • active knowledge of the English language; good understanding of Czech
  • moral integrity;
  • fulfilment of statutory conditions under the provisions of Section 17, paragraphs (4) - (6) of Act No 341/2005 Coll., on Public Research Institutions, as amended;
  • fulfilment of conditions according to Act No 451/1991 Coll. Which defines certain other requirements for the performance of certain functions in State bodies and organisations, as amended.
  • the Director of the Institute must not be a member of the management or supervisory bodies of legal persons carrying out business activities and must not participate in the business of legal persons operating in the area covered by the Institute's activities.
 
Expected term of office: 1 June 2022 - 31 May 2027

  • affidavit of good repute pursuant to Section 17(4)(c) of Act No 341/2005 Coll.
 
The selected candidate shall prove that he/she meets the conditions laid down in Act No 451/1991 Coll. to the President of the CAS no later than the date of his/her appointment as Director of the Institute.

It is expected that during the personal interview before the Selection Committee the candidate will demonstrate his/her knowledge of the Institute's issues and present his/her idea of the goals he/she would like to implement as its Director.
