The Board of the Institute of Chemical Processes of the CAS, v. v. i. (ICPF CAS, v. v. i.) opens a vacancy for the position of the Director of the Institute.
Requirements:
- legal capacity,1)
- integrity pursuant to Section 17(4)(b) and (c) of Act No 341/2005 Coll., on Public Research Institutions, as amended,
- higher education and scientific qualification in one of the fields of research activities of the Institute,
- scientific activity in one of the main fields of the research activities of the Institute,
- organisational skills and management experience,
- active knowledge of English, other language skills an advantage,
- moral integrity,
- fulfilment of the conditions pursuant to Act No 451/1991 Coll., laying down certain other prerequisites for the performance of certain functions in state bodies and organisations of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, as amended (does not apply to applicants who are not citizens of the Czech Republic).
The director of the Institute may not be a member of the management or supervisory bodies of legal persons carrying on business activities and may not participate in the business of legal persons operating in the area covered by the Institute. This restriction does not apply to the management of his/her own property (Article 17(6) of Act No 341/2005 Coll.).
Expected tenure: 1 June 2022 – 31 May 2027

- an evidence of higher education and scientific qualifications,1)
- an overview of current practice,
- a list of main scientific papers and publications,
- a project of the management of the Institute and the direction of its activities, including the future development of the Institute,
- an extract from the Criminal Records Register not older than 3 months,1),2),
- an affidavit of integrity pursuant to Section 17(4)(c) of Act No 341/2005 Coll.2)

2) A candidate who is not a citizen of the Czech Republic shall attach an affidavit proving that he/she meets the conditions pursuant to Section 17(4) of Act No. 341/2005 Coll.
Fulfilment of the conditions pursuant to Act No. 451/1991 Coll. shall be documented by the selected candidate to the President of the CAS no later than on the date of appointment to the position of Director of the Institute.
