Exploration of the pathways to replace spin-orbit interaction by non-collinear magnetic order

Abstract

Transport phenomena in linear response to applied electric field will be explored in crystals with complex magnetic order. Theoretical and experimental research is envisioned on anisotropic magnetoresistance, Kerr effect and other phenomena where spin-orbit interaction (SOI) is usually considered necessary. Materials will be identified where SOI (as a relativistic correction in the description of the system) is not necessary for the phenomena to occur.
