Thinking about the next step after you finish your PhD? IOCB has a lot to offer. We already have over 110 young researchers in our growing community of IOCB postdocs, 40% of them are international. IOCB Fellowships for postdocs

IOCB Prague provides up to 10 postdoctoral IOCB Fellowhips in chemistry and biochemistry per year. Submission deadlines are twice a year on 1 April and 1 October.

IOCB Postdoc Network

As of autumn 2019, there is a postdoc network within the IOCB, run by postdocs for postdocs. The remit of this initiative is to provide postdocs with:

  • Career progression seminars
  • Peer support (for grant writing)
  • Subject specific mini symposia/Postdoc retreat
  • Social events
  • Other events/networks that people feel are required
We hold a monthly postdoc coffee to allow people to meet other postdocs from across different groups and to allow everyone to come along and suggest events/topics that would be useful to them. We are a friendly bunch and happy to chat to anyone considering joining the IOCB as a postdoc.
