The Congress ESEB 2022

The Congress of the European Society for Evolutionary Biology - ESEB 2022 will take place at the Prague Congress Centre from 14 to 19 August 2022. ESEB congresses are held every two years and are currently among the largest conferences in the field of evolutionary biology. The deadline for submission of papers is 15 April 2022. "Early bird" registration is possible until 15 June 2022. Further information will be updated on an ongoing basis.

Olympus Image of the Year award 2021

Olympus continues to search for the best images in light microscopy and the third edition of its Olympus Image of the Year Award 2021 focused on the life sciences. The world prize for the microscopic image of an Arabidopsis flower was awarded to Mgr. Jan Martinek. Congratulations!

Faculty hosts international open science meeting of the European Pollen Database

The International Meeting of the Open Science Community of the European Pollen Database will be held at the Faculty of Science, Albertov 6, from 1 to 3 June 2022. For the first time in a long time, this meeting will support the community of paleoecologists who are concerned with the long-term evolution of ecosystems and landscapes in relation to climate change and human activities. The lectures (in English only) are open to the public and admission is free, and there will also be an interactive mini-exhibition linking art with microfossils.
